Forest Carbon Stock Accounting System

Every project needs an accurate, efficient, transparent, and verifiable accounting system regardless of whether a project owner pursues one of the many registries and markets that exist today, or possibly a direct retail sale of credits from their forests. A good accounting system also needs to be flexible enough to accommodate rule set and policy changes in the field of carbon sequestration in order to ensure compliance and maximum performance. FORECON EMS provides a forest database accounting system that meets all of these criteria. Developed and used since 1997, the TIGER (Timber Inventory Growth, Evaluation and Reporting) database system is a web-based timber and carbon accounting system. For more information on TIGER and its capabilities visit the Tiger Web site.
