Forest Insect Reporting & Mapping (FIRM)

The FIRM application enables the public to report insect sightings and defoliation in a user-friendly, Web-based environment. 

• Report information by address or interactively via a mapping window.
  Enter your address and the application will obtain the latitude and longitude by geocoding the address. If the sighting is not at a known location, you can zoom in on a map and click the area where the information is needed.
• Wizard-based reporting tool.
  Collects the type of insect, severity of defoliation, and some basic information.
