FORECON EcoMarket Solutions Successful in getting first TIMO Managed Forest Carbon Offsets Project Approved by the CCX !!!
Summary: FORECON EcoMarket Solutions, LLC has successfully developed, presented and obtained approval from the CCX for the first managed forestry carbon offset project for a TIMO.
We are excited to report that early in September of 2007, FORECON EcoMarket Solutions, LLC was successful in developing, presenting, and obtaining approval for the first TIMO owned managed forest carbon offset project in the United States on the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) market. This project has broken ground and has set an important precedent for the acceptance of similar projects in the future. FORECON EcoMarket Solutions will be serving as the aggregator for this project, with the first trades expected early in 2008.
Recent favorable policy and accounting rules for forestry projects are creating exciting new opportunities for landowners.
