Shade Tree Appraisal Services
As urban sprawl continues, trees play an ever-increasing role in providing privacy, wind buffer and in overall land values. Their importance is further identified by insurance companies and real estate appraisers that consider trees in policy coverage and in evaluating residences. If you should lose or withstand significant damage to a tree within an urban landscape, a Shade Tree Appraisal should be performed to determine the health and value (or loss in value) of the damaged specimen.
At FORECON, Inc. we have a Certified Arborist on staff who is trained in evaluating and appraising these valuable trees. Factors such as species, location, contribution, and condition are all key areas of concern during the appraisal process. These factors are utilized in methods developed by the Council of Tree and Landscape Appraisers and documented in the “Guide for Plant Appraisals” handbook. The method used for an appraisal depends on the size of the tree and the ability to replace it with comparable nursery stock.
Don’t underestimate the value of your landscape. Contact FORECON to assist you in determining their value. Call Lori Brockelbank at 716 664-5602 Ext. 305 if you have any questions about this service.
