Joining the FORECON Team!
We’re proud to share that Anna Sena recently joined FORECON, supporting our Falconer, NY office’s timberland management and consulting operations. In this role, Anna helps a seasoned field team of Foresters and Technicians complete their growing slate of clients’ forestry projects, including timber-sales, forest inventory and data collection.
Anna grew up in Chautauqua County, NY, and recently graduated from the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry in Syracuse with a Bachelor’s degree in Forest Resource Management. She previously earned her Associate’s degree in Forest Technology from SUNY’s Ranger School in Wanakena, NY, where she also served as the Ranger School Women’s Hall Representative, a leadership role where Anna was liaison between the school administration and her fellow classmates. During her college career, Anna found work opportunities with increasing responsibility each summer, including Youth Ambassador at the Roger Tory Peterson institute of Natural History, an internship surveying Hemlock Wooly Adelgid and a Forest Technician position with the Adirondack League Club. She distinguished herself through hard work and achievement, earning the William J. Cox Memorial Scholarship, the Andrew P. Kibler Memorial Scholarship and others for academic performance and leadership.
“I’m really glad to work here”, Anna shared. Her interest in a forestry career – and her passion for being outside – stems from her time enjoying the outdoors and cutting firewood on her family’s land over the years. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and helping her grandparents.
We’re thrilled to have Anna as a member of our team. She brings a great attitude and a terrific work ethic to an experienced team. Please join us in welcoming Anna to the FORECON family!
